Take control of your portfolio on Wikinvest

June 2, 2010

After adding all that data to Wikinvest, we started hearing calls for a portfolio tool suited to Wikinvest users. Well, starting today, you’ll notice a change to the Wikinvest homepage as you can track your existing and future investments with a direct import of your holdings from your brokerage to your Wikinvest portfolio.

See all of your investments in one place

Rather than tracking your actual portfolio at your brokerage, your watchlist on some finance portal, and your 401K at another brokerage, we’ve made it possible to see all of these accounts in one place. Currently, we support bank-level secure synchronization for 25 major U.S. brokerages, including E*Trade, Scottrade, TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, and many more.  We’re constantly adding new brokerages, though, so if we’re missing yours, let us know and we’ll continue to add to the list.

Accounts in one place

Never hit refresh again.  Monitor your portfolio in real-time.

Our new portfolio tool updates prices live on the page without needing a refresh.  The same goes for news associated with your portfolio so go ahead, leave the page open all day on that extra monitor of yours.

Is your brokerage ripping you off?  See what you pay in monthly fees.

Unlike other portfolio tools where you have to manually enter each and every trade and ticker, you can synchronize your Wikinvest portfolio directly with your brokerage accounts.  Not only that, but with this connection, we can show you exactly how you’ve performed against the markets, dividends, interest, and fees included.  Real portfolios have real returns, after all.

Each investor is unique.  Don’t get stuck with default settings.

Better yet, customize your dashboard to show exactly the metrics you care about.  Want to track Book Value per Share, P/E, Volume, and 52 Week Ranges on one screen?  Go for it.  Drag columns into your preferred order.  Next, group your holdings by Market Cap in one view, Industry in the next.  Everyone’s investing style is different, so why limit yourself to someone else’s default dashboard?

Hope you enjoy the new portfolio tracker and be sure to let us know what you think by sending us feedback!

How will it be shown (after synchronization) will the fees be displayed so the real return will be known? How will the low, high or average expenses be indicated, and how often so true performance will be known?
